| Hi Everyone~ I realize not too many people are on Xanga now. But aren't we all guilty of sneaking a peek back here to see how things are going within the land of the bloggers, lol? These days the footprints are few and far between, but I still have a feeling people are reading - which is good. I hope all of you out in Xangaland have been doing well. The temps in our neck of the woods have been rather hectic - let me tell ya... I think the AC will be on permanently (lol) for a while. And with the temperature change comes....dun-dun-dun....more migraines, yay (not). But it is my body's way of reminding me that I need to take better care of myself - so perhaps I should listen, lol. Fuzzy and I got back from a wonderful weekend in Brainerd (for his birthday). And the weather could not have been better. Although I do have to wonder...being that I spent quite a bit of time up north as a kid...again, what's up with the temps?? The description for the past weekend could almost be listed as: balmy. Odd, since pretty much the majority of the northern part of the state always slips into the colder realms. And I suppose that would be Mother Nature having a PMS moment, lol... Recently we celebrated my nephew's 3rd birthday. And I believe the hit of the party was the CARS themed bicycle he received from Nana (along w/helmet, elbow, and knee pads). The oddest thing was the pinjata(sp?) (also CARS). My SIL commented that apparently these vehicles of fun and merriment may be inciting violence in children. So, instead of being able to hit the pinjata(sp?) with a stick - kids are allowed to select ribbons that are attached to it. The end result being a trap door opens when the correct ribbon is chosen. And the candy, gifts, and toys overfloweth, lol. Now, how odd is that people?! I gotta say it: seriously?! Lol... What is the world coming to.... Jess

| Hi Everyone: It's been yet again another distance in-between blogs, but that's all right. I imagine all you crazy cats out in Xangaland have been just as busy as the FuzMeister and myself. Currently, I am transferring to another department at work. This will definitely expand my horizons regarding job skills, etc. I have also been selected to lead a training session (gulp) in the not so distant future. Please wish me luck - despite the fact that my learned expertise requires me to be comfortable in front of large groups of people...the butterflies keep on coming. On February, 16th 2009 my niece came into this world. And Miss Olivia Ann is beautiful. I don't believe she is sleeping through the night yet, but in time...Miss Olivia will get there. Gavin is doing fairly well with the transition - though, he has his moments. But that's all part of being a Big Brother/sibling of course. Psychology is quite a passion of mine. And as of late I have been consuming more books on the subject than I can count - but to name a few: - The Sociopath Next Door, by Martha Stout, ph.d.
- Loving the Self Absorbed, by Nina W. Brown, Ed. D., LPC, NCC
- The Bipolar Handbook, by Wes Burgess, M.D., Ph.D.
In addition to these Fuzzy gave me the Idiot's Guide to Vampires (lol) for Valentine's Day. And I ran up to the salon and got him a gift certificate for an hour massage. The stylists were apparently fighting over his and Garrick's hair while they waited. That's pretty funny. The other hobby I have picked up recently is Tribal Belly Dancing. Wow, is it ever fun - challenging as all get out, but wonderful. Check in around six months from now and I may not look quite so ridiculous, lol. But the music (Beats Antique, Pentaphobe), costumes, and movements are a sight/sound fiesta. Well, that's about it for now - hope life is in a groovy mode for all of you lovely peoples. Jess

| According to the weather people we're supposed to get 4-6 inches of the lovely stuff here by tomorrow. Well, it's snowing fairly nicely now - and there's about...hmm...a half an inch or so... But they did report that it was going to hit at around 10 o'clock this morning and go until 7...yeah, it started at 3, eh...
The plan is to head out to GZ this evening (if the roads permit). But it wasn't too slippery when we left our downtown area just a bit ago. We have that light, yet sticky snow falling in our neck of the woods. So, gearing up to get our dance on sounds like a wonderful idea. "We're a hardy people." I think we can handle it...
I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and New Years!

| Sometime earlier this month the creepin' crud decided to spring up on me. And although this should not be too surprising given the season, it was annoying at best. I don't have the slightest idea if it was a cold, the flu, a sinus infection - or a combination there of... But the duration seemed to be eternal and the end result gave way to slightly feeling better, only to lose hearing in my left ear for a week (damn sinuses). Lol... So, ladies and gentlemen...that would be getting down with the sickness.
Work is constantly ebbing and flowing, but this is completely normal. I sense new projects on the horizon. And if there's one thing that could bring me to a hault it would have to be the same tedious routine. So, I say just lob that variety at me! It truely is the cheese to my macaroni. Hah....
The weather (as you can see) has been lovely. As of tomorrow we are going to have roughly -23 below (with the wind chill added in) in addtion to slippery roads. Due to the current conditions I didn't end up making it over to the folks to help with the Christmas decorations. I would rather stay safe (me is a bit paranoid).
In other news Fuzzy and I finally have our decorations up. But the shopping will be saved until the last minute. Honestly, I have found some of the best deals moments before Christmas, so.....I have no quams about shopping late in the season, lol. And for your enjoyment I present our 4 foot Charlie Brown tree:
Aww...it's so cute. Happy Holidays! Jess

| Hi Everyone~
Lets see...well, to start off I recently received a promotion at work. And I have taken on even more tasks than a I had before. So, Miss Vesta is a busy little bee...
Joy & Jason's wedding was beautiful - couldn't have asked for better weather. All the guys donned Utilikilts (sp?) and us girls were in custom made silk Renaissance gowns. And Joy (when you read this) a very special thank you to Mindy. It was so nice of her to take on the task of assembling all of the dresses.
Natalie's wedding is inching closer as well. She already got her dress (and it's BEAUTIFUL). The bridesmaids appear to be all set. Now, I just have to figure out what the heck I am going to wear... Sometimes being indecisive can make one go nucking futz.... Lol.
On to baby news... I just found out that my bro & SIL are going to be having a little girl. So, I am guessing she will either be an Aquarian or a Pisces - will have to wait and see...
And now....on to random pictures:
